Mary Meadows financial advisor in Birmingham who recently launched a wealth management and financial planning firm, Abeona Wealth. Abeona, the Roman goddess of the journey, serves as the guiding image for her clients, who are typically single women, retiring couples, and families with special needs. She spent the first five years of her career as an early childhood special educator at The Bell Center for Early Intervention after which she pivoted to a career in finance. She joined the team at Porter, White & Company, an investment banking and investment management firm serving both individual and institutional clients, and worked there from 2011 to 2020.

She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner and a CFA® Charterholder with a B.A. in Psychology and Master of Teaching from the University of Virginia. She is a native of Tupelo, Mississippi and a long-time resident of Birmingham who is committed to the city and enjoys serving the community.  When not at work, Mary Meadows can usually be found at a yoga studio, the library, on a trail hiking, cooking in her kitchen, or spending time with her 3 nieces and nephew.
