ALL IN: Immersive Storytelling Exhibit

Step inside historic Ramsay High School for a one-of-a-kind experience bringing today’s education stories to life.

Register for the free program here.

About The Event
The Birmingham Education Foundation presents ALL IN, an immersive storytelling exhibit that highlights community engagement work alongside the perspectives of those within Birmingham City Schools. Through mixed media, student artwork, and participatory exhibits, ALL IN is designed to build greater empathy towards students at a time when community support is needed most.

How it works
Groups of five will enter the school after hours and embark on a self-guided exploration where they will learn more about the Ed Foundation through a short film screening, encounter student and teacher stories from the previous school year, and investigate what it means to be all in for students. The free exhibition program lasts 80-90 minutes and is a limited engagement for one week only.

Tyler Jones (tyler@1504.co).

Virtual Phone Banking

The Birmingham Education Foundation is excited to launch Virtual Phone Banking Parties! Starting on April 14th, we will host 4-hour virtual phone banking parties every Tuesday from 1pm-5pm, and every Thursday from 4pm-8pm. Volunteers can pick to participate in one 2hr shift or the full 4hrs on either Tuesdays or Thursdays. During phone baking, we will be calling Birmingham City families and asking them about their current needs in a CoVID-19 climate, as well as about their overall educational experiences.

Please note, all volunteers will be required to attend a 1hr training session. Training sessions are every Monday starting April 13th, and are offered at 2 times: 12:30pm-1:30pm & 6:30pm-7:30pm. Volunteers will also be asked to use their own laptops and cell phones (cell phone numbers are protected and cannot be traced). If you can not attend the designated training times, reach out and we will try to accommodate you.
