Julian S. Grant is an energy professional currently serving as a Community Development Specialist for Alabama Power Company. In this role, he is directly responsible for coordinating community outreach, public relations, foundation funding, and educational initiatives for the company’s Birmingham Division. He is a native of Birmingham, Alabama, and a graduate of Ramsay High School. Mr. Grant is also a graduate and an avid supporter of Alabama A&M University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. In 2016, Julian received his Master’s Degree in Information Engineering & Management from UAB. He is also recognized by the Association of Energy Engineers as a Certified Energy Manager.
Julian’s love for mentorship and philanthropy can be felt through the many organizations in which he serves. Mr. Grant is a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., INROADS Alabama Alumni Association, Birmingham Education Foundation Board of Directors, Rotaract Club of Birmingham, and the City Action Partnership Board of Directors. He is also a past President of the National Society of Black Engineers -Birmingham Chapter, where in 2016 the chapter received the national Pre-College Initiative of the Year award under his leadership. In 2016, Julian founded the Siamese Dreams Outreach Foundation in partnership with his twin brother, Justin. The organization’s primary purpose is to assist the youth in “conjoining today’s aspirations with tomorrow’s opportunities”! Since its inception, its organization has outreached to over 700 students throughout Alabama.
A man of faith, Julian is a member of Rock City Church in Birmingham, AL where he serves in the Media Ministry. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, attending hip-hop concerts with friends, eating at new restaurants and exploring his talent as a freelance on-air personality. He is married to his beautiful college sweetheart, Breah, who hails from Fairhope, AL.
