Emuni Sanderson

UAB School of Health Professions

Emuni Sanderson is the Director of the Office for Student Recruitment, Engagement, and Success in the School of Health Professions at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Her career experience ranges from program development and community engagement in the nonprofit sector to student affairs and diversity, equity, and inclusion programming in Higher Education. She is trained in conflict resolution, elevator speeches, communication, Social Justice/Diversity, & professional development: Goal planning.  In addition to serving on the Ed’s Junior Board, she is on the Board of Directors for Birmingham Aids Outreach and Commissioner for Fairfield Alabama Housing Authority. 

Emuni holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from Alabama State University. She also holds a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and currently, pursuing her PhD in Educational Studies of Diverse Population with a concentration in health disparities.
