Kathy is one of the most energetic people you will meet. She is a woman who has 4 passions; God, Family, People and Fitness.
Kathy is the Director of Organizational Development and Patient Experience with Baptist Health System. If you ask her if she loves her job she will tell you that she has a JOY and not a job. As In this role she is able to integrate the Word of God in training as well as, develop initiatives to promote a culture based on the principles of God. It is a JOY and a dream come true.
Kathy is a Group fitness instructor with over 12 years of experience. She has taught at local fitness centers, Riverchase Country Club, churches and with Samford University’s recreation program. Her passion for God and His Word and her love to exercise led her to begin Ambassador Fitness, Inc. in 2005.
Ambassador Fitness is a faith based non-profit ministry that conducts wellness workshops. The workshops creatively and interactively integrate Bible study, fitness and wellness education. The Bible tells us in 1Corinthians 6:19 that the body is the temple of the Holy Ghost. Through the interactive programming conducted by Ambassador Fitness, people discover an eternal reason to take care of their bodies. She is also the author of a unique devotional journal entitled PassageWalk™; a 33 day walking program that incorporates walking and Bible study. She is also the creator of a fitness program called UAGO. UAGO is a fusion of bible study, music and movement.
Kathy has spoken to thousands of people. Her audiences include churches, community workshops, job training seminars, youth development workshops, national health conferences, local health workshops, women conferences, and more. Her passionate and energetic presentations and smile are what people say they remember the most. NO one leaves her presence and presentations without being changed for the better.
Kathy is a member of the Worship Center Christian Church. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Red Cross and the Birmingham Education Foundation. She is member of the State Office of Women’s Health Advisory Council and is a member of the Leadership Speaker’s Bureau for United Way of Central Alabama , the Junior League of Birmingham and member of the 2013 Leadership Birmingham class. She is a graduate of UAB.
She is married to the most wonderful man in the world, Chip Boswell and they have two children Kathryn (20) and Parker (14). She is the daughter of Mary and Robert Parker and she has the best in-laws in the nation; Alexander and Eunice Boswell.
