Campaign for Ed

Your investment in Birmingham is an excellent example of how the leaders and members of our community can come together to support our schools and our youth. We are convinced that the Campaign for Ed of the Birmingham Education Foundation will significantly elevate the quality of education in the Birmingham City Schools for the more than 25,000 school children it serves.

Your contribution can come in many forms, including, but not limited to, those listed below:

Gifts: Include checks, cash, insurance, securities, real estate, and other tangible personal property. The Board maintains the right to accept or not accept gifts or pledge payments made by non-cash assets. All checks are to be made payable to the Birmingham Education Foundation (and noted for theCampaign for Ed).

Tributes and Memorials: You can make a tax-deductible gift to the Birmingham Education Foundation in memory or honor of a special person, organization or business.

Endowments: Leave a legacy for future generations of students by designating your gift for the Birmingham Education Foundation Endowment.

Planned Gifts: Planned giving methods include: wills, life income trusts (a gift that provides the donor or another beneficiary income for life), annuity trusts, Unitrusts, pooled income funds, gift annuities, some forms of life insurance, or commitments of personal property. Your professional advisers can help you explore your best options. The most common form of Planned Gifts are bequests. A bequest is a written direction contained in a will, which disposes of some or all of the property controlled by the will. Through a will, it is possible to give cash, securities, life insurance proceeds, and real and personal property. It is also possible to create a trust through a will. Bequests may be used to establish memorials in honor of the donor, family members or others. Please remember the Birmingham Education Foundation in your will or estate plan and please tell us when you do.
