Academy of Engineering
Jamerial Gardner is a Junior in the Academy of Engineering at G. W. Carver High School. She has traveled to China twice visiting both Beijing and Shanghai through the Birmingham to Beijing project. She plans to travel to Costa Rica this summer through Carver’s Cultural Ambassadors program. She speaks Mandarin-Chinese and Spanish. Jamerial is a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Heritage Panel, Robotics Team, Technical Student Association (TSA), and the Debate Team. She wants to be a Biogenetic or Mechanical engineer and plans to attend Spellman College. Jamerial is an exceptional, determined, and brilliant young lady destined to succeed!
Jharin Dunson is a Junior in the Academy of Engineering at G. W. Carver High School. Recently, he was chosen to participate on the My Brother’s Keeper Panel with U.S. Secretary of Education, Arne Duncan. He is currently a member of JROTC, Civil Air Patrol, Robotics team, Technical Student Association (TSA), Drill Team, and Color Guard. He aspires to enter the Air Force, become a Brigadier General, and work in the Military Intelligence Department in the areas of computer and electrical engineering. He plans to attend Auburn University as well. Jharin is a hardworking, focused, optimistic young man with a bright future.
